A simple guide to using Seasonlytics for Amazon seasonality analysis.
Quick Navigation
Getting Started
What is Seasonlytics?
Seasonlytics is an AI-powered seasonality analysis platform for Amazon sellers.
It helps you understand when products are likely to have stronger or weaker demand throughout the year, so you can make better decisions about inventory planning, purchasing, and sales strategy.
Seasonlytics currently supports Amazon.com and works across most product categories.
How Seasonlytics Works
Seasonlytics uses AI to identify products that are similar to the one you submit. It then analyzes the historical sales patterns of those similar products and builds a seasonality benchmark for that product segment.
In simple terms:
- You submit a product identifier.
- Seasonlytics finds similar products on Amazon.com.
- Seasonlytics analyzes their seasonal sales patterns and returns a Seasonality Strength Index for your product's segment.
Seasonlytics also shows example best sellers from the segment used in the analysis, so you can better understand the type of products behind the benchmark.

Understanding Results

What You'll See
A typical result includes:
- Seasonality Strength Index
- Month-by-month seasonality view
- Peak months
- Low months
- Segment/category used for analysis
- Example best sellers from the matched segment
Seasonality Strength Index
The Seasonality Strength Index helps you understand which months are stronger or weaker relative to the rest of the year.
You can use it to support decisions such as:
- when to increase stock
- when to reduce stock exposure
- when to prepare for seasonal demand
- when to plan promotions or product launches
Segment Benchmarking
Seasonlytics does not simply look at the exact product in isolation. Instead, it builds a benchmark from similar products in the same segment.
This helps provide a more meaningful seasonality view, especially when comparing your product to similar items customers are likely to shop for.
Best Seller Examples
To make the analysis easier to understand, Seasonlytics also shows example best sellers from the segment used in the benchmark.
These examples help you see the type of product group Seasonlytics matched to your submission.
